Ok so this page is long overdue!!!

Scott and I live in the Central Valley with our six beautiful children (The Brady Bunch in the 20th Century), only 5 pictured here as our oldest Samantha has already left the nest and the older boys (left to right) Jonathan, Alec and Bryce are already spreading their wings, or should I say spinning their tires and blasting the tunes.  Mackenzie and Madison still are cozy here at home for the most part unless shopping or Starbucks beckons them.  Our family also consists of our beautiful birds as well as 4 dogs, a horse, a sheep and about 20 cats that have adopted us.

Scott has been raising birds for over 28 years, he is originally from New Jersey and became fascinated by parrots at the age of 7 when visiting Busch Gardens.  He maintains the bird barns and takes care of all the adult breeders that we have, cooking, chopping and preparing fresh food for them on a daily basis (They eat better than we do).  I have only been the "bird lady", as my friends call me, for about 6 years when Scott introduced me to them and then I was hooked.  I have always loved animals of any kind but parrots amaze me how intelligent they are and a bit mysterious at times.  I love handfeeding the babies, which is pretty much what I do.  I have tried my hand at incubating and hatching but no matter how hard you try or what kind of equipment you have you can never duplicate what God has created and how awesome it is to watch a huge 36" plus Macaw hatch and feed a tiny baby.  Our goal with our breeders is to have them in full 20ft plus flights so we can actually watch them fly as well as becoming map certified.  We are currently in the process of building a bigger nursery and always encourage new bird owners to learn as much as they can about their new family member so they can find one that meets their lifestyle.

As well as trying to keep up with the kids and all the animals, Scott is the lead guitarist for a local Christian Metal Band called "Testify".
